GemRB 0.6.6 released!

GemRB is a portable open-source implementation of Bioware's Infinity Engine. It was written to support pseudo-3D role playing games based on the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset (Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series, Planescape: Torment).

You can get it from here .

For this release, there were two main areas of focus: spellcasting and input. Casting is now properly difficult and time consuming, while in the input area there were many fixes for multitouch and keyboard shortcuts. On top of that this release brings the usual assortment of random features, bugfixes and internal cleanups.

RPGD: Improved Asylum V0.96 Released!

RPG Dungeon

Version 0.96 of the Improved Asylum mod has been released! This version focuses primarily on enhancements to the adventuring party that has been present in this mod since the very first version. In particular, some of the items that these enemies drop have been significantly weakened. Additionally, the scripts have been improved. This is part of an ongoing project to improve the AI of this fight.

This version of the mod also fixes a bug that caused the game to crash when Breudayael casts one of his high level spells. He also uses his Time Stop spells more intelligently.

Improved Asylum V0.96 has both PC and Mac OSX versions available.

G3: Coran BG Friendship, Now Available in German

Coran's BG Extended Friendship Talks, by Domi, adds up to eighteen (18) new banters with the protagonist (and one potential comment by Garrick) for a player character who is not in an active romance with him. Version 3 adds a German translation by Jarl. Available for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux operating systems.

This mod provides a new game experience, making the big world of Baldur's Gate even more beautiful with many important characters now having their own portraits!
Great care was taken to avoid doubling of pictures, as well as not changing other mod added NPC portraits.
Only NPCs which are quest-relevant got portraits. The pictures match the NPCs' alignments, giving evil ones also evil-looking faces and vice versa.

Some pictures from the BG1 NPC project (G3) were taken, too. Many thanks to the modders, because it gave me (Gerri) the idea for this mod.

The mod is for the Baldur's Gate Trilogy (BGT) only.

Vampire Tales version 1.02 has been released. This mod combines the Miriam npc mod and Dark Ritual. This mod fixes an item and adds an Italian translation thanks to Ilot.
